    Subhan Allah Wa Bihamdihi Meaning

    in English: (Glory be to Allah and all praise is due to him)

    in Arabic:  سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ 

      • The word (Subhan Allah)  Glory be to God: comes from the verb (سبح) glorification and this is that you declare that there is no god but God (the Oneness of God)

    Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said, “(The following are) two words (sentences or utterances) that are very easy for the tongue to say, and very heavy in the balance (of reward), and most beloved to the Gracious Almighty (And they are): Subhan Allahi wa bi-hamdihi; Subhan Allahi-l-‘Adhim.” [Sahih al-Bukhari 6682]

    A Muslim glorifies his Lord in many places that came with evidence either from the Noble Qur’an or the Prophet’s Sunnah. The following is a detailed explanation of these places:

     

    • Tasbeeh during and after prayer

    It is Sunnah for a Muslim to open his prayer with Tasbeeh (glorification), while reading the Qur’an, and after completing the prayer, he glorifies thirty-three times.

    When a Muslim wakes up and before going to sleep he say:  Subhanallah wa bihamdihi subhanallahil adzim 100 times.

     

    • To say when exclamatory

    If a Muslim hears something unfamiliar, or an action occurs in front of him, or he hears a saying that causes him to be surprised; It was prescribed for him to glorify God Almighty.

    Subhanallah wa bihamdihi in Arabic

    سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ، سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ العَظِيم
