Praise be to God, Lord of the Easts and Wests, He created man and women from stagnant clay, Then he made him a sperm between the cross and the ribs… He created from him his wife and made of the children and relatives, And he specified for each one of them his job and the basic role in this worldly life, which he will ask them about on the Day of Resurrection, And prayers and peace be upon the Messenger of God, then,
Muslim women have an active and significant role in building society, and even in building civilizations and history, Islam pays great attention to women and looks at them with honor and pride. Women in Islam are the mother, sister, daughter, aunt, grandmother, and wife, the man’s partner in bearing the responsibilities of life, and God assigned her with the man to advance the task of succession on earth.
Therefore, it is necessary to expose and shed light to know some of the tasks and role of women in Islam,

What do the Quran and Sunnah say about women’s roles and honor them?
Women are mentioned in the Qur’an and in the Sunnah in many topics, so those who came in the Sunnah in their role and honor as a mother, and because the role of the mother is the most important role for women in society because it is like a factory that produces, raises and produces for us generation after generation.
Therefore, the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, recommended Asma bint Abi Bakr al-Siddiq, may God be pleased with her; Where she said: My mother came to me while she was a polytheist during the era of Quraish – the Treaty of Hudaybiyah – and I sought permission from the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and said: My mother came to me willingly, should I contact with her? Also, He, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, also recommended the mother and treat her well. A man came to the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, and asked him: O Messenger of God, Who is more entitled to be treated with the best companionship by me? He said: “Your mother.” He said: Then who? He said: ((Your mother)) He said: Then who? He said: ((Your mother)) He said: Then who? He said: ((Then your father.)
Undoubtedly, the role of women is grave and great in Islamic society. Her role does not end when she is half of society, but she also educates the other half and influences the men who lead the Islamic nation,
As he, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said:(Women are a counterpart of men).

Child-Rearing
Raising children is a duty for men and women, not just for women, as some belief,
For example, the Messenger of Allah said (“Tell your children to pray when they are seven years old, and beat them for it when they are ten years old.”), This is a matter from him, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, for both sexes, not just for women. The same is the case in the case of alimony. The basic principle is that the woman is not required to spend on her, but rather devote herself to her husband and to raise her children.
The bottom line in this is that raising the children is on the woman, and the man must help her in that. A woman should not forget her role as a wife, because some wives and many of them are really busy and give all they have to their children, but they forget her role as a wife.

The role of a woman in Islam as a wife
The role of a woman in Islam as a wife is summarized by the hadith of the Messenger of God, peace, and blessings be upon him (If I were to command that someone prostrate to another, I would have ordered the woman to prostrate to her husband) This means that the role of a woman as a wife is a great role and is very important in building a happy family, It also means complete obedience to her husband within the limits of what God has permitted.
And because the wife’s attention to her husband also makes great men, these men will have the ability to bear the burdens of work more and more, and thus raise the level of the economy of society, As they say, behind every great man is a great woman, In terms of the economic role, women have a role as well, but it is different from men.

The role of women as an economic force
Islam guaranteed women the right to work, to be active members of society, and she worked in trade, agriculture, and others. The best example of women’s economic participation in the Arab Islamic society is Lady Khadija (may God be pleased with her), the wife of the Prophet Muhammad (may God bless him and grant him peace), who had her own business. But we must differentiate that she does not have to work and she does not have to spend. Therefore, we find in Islam that the positions of women in inheritance are different,
The truth about the inheritance of women in Islam
Some believe that the inheritance of the Muslim woman is always half of the man, but this is wrong. The truth is that the woman does not inherit half the male except in one case only when she has male brothers, here we find someone who spends on her and who takes care of her, But when the woman is single, or a mother without children, or a wife without sons, or any other cases that require her to have more alimony, we find that Islam in very many cases may give women more than men in inheritance.

Equality between men and women rols in Islam
Islam equated men and women in rights and duties,
God Almighty says(So their Lord responded to them that I will not waste the work of a worker among you, male or female).
As for the concept of equality (meaning a man is like a woman), this is not in Islamic law, but what is meant by equality in work and participation in life, according to the degree of each of them, and because it is not fair to equality between a man and a woman in all actions, and due to Allah said {وَلَيْسَ الذَّكَرُ كَالْأُنثَىٰ} God Almighty said (And the male is not like the female).
Divine justice requires that they complement each other with just laws that have been legislated for them so that each of them is established in the place allotted to him in society so that neither takes the role of the other and his place remains empty. The Almighty said in Surat al-Nisa:
( وَلَا تَتَمَنَّوْا مَا فَضَّلَ اللَّهُ بِهِ بَعْضَكُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ ۚ لِّلرِّجَالِ نَصِيبٌ مِّمَّا اكْتَسَبُوا وَلِلنِّسَاءِ نَصِيبٌ مِّمَّا اكْتَسَبْنَ)
Meaning that(And do not covet what Allah has given some of you over others. Men shall have a share of what they have earned, and women shall have a share of what they have earned). One of the types of equality between a man and a woman stipulated in Islam,
Finally, dear reader, we conclude from all this that women have a very important role and are essential in society, and that is why they must be preserved and their chastity because the corruption of women may result in the corruption of society. Among the forms of chastity is adhering to the legal dress and not making up. In this time, we find that society has reached many cases of finery that do not bode well at all. May God protect the girls and youth of Muslims and all Islamic societies from all harm and evil.
