Islam is the divine and the true religion of God Allah Al-Mighty. Islam is more than a religion as it guides you to live the whole life according to divine guidance.
Islam is called Deen, which caters to your beliefs, rituals, transactions, and moral values which means it is the code for the worldly life and the hereafter.
the 5 Pillars Of Islam :
1- Declaration of The Oneness of The God
one has to declare these verses which translates to “There is no god but Allah, Muhammad (PBUH) is 7His messenger”. After uttering these, he/she becomes Muslim and one has to follow the guidelines of Islam thoroughly.
2- Daily Prayers
Muslim has to perform five prayers in a day and Jummah prayer every Friday when Muslims gathered in mosques and do sermons and perform the Salah/prayer. Men have to offer their prayers in a mosque while women are best to offer it at home.
It is considered one of the most important pillars of Islam
3- Fasting During Ramadan
Ramadan is the holiest month of Islamic calendar. It requires a Muslim to refrain from eating, drinking and doing any immoral thing e.g. lying, backbiting etc from dawn to dusk. It is obligatory for All Muslims to fast with all its requirements in this Holy Month.
4- Alms Giving (Zakat)
islam is the religion which insist on the equality of all the human beings. To improve the distribution of wealth among rich and poor, Islam has its unique system of Zakat. It bounds a Muslim to give your wealth to the poor if you have excess of it. The rate of Zakat is 2.5% of your wealth once a year if you hold the wealth the whole year.
5- Pilgrimage to Makkah( Hajj)
Hajj is also the pillar of Islam where Muslims are required to visit Makkah if they have financial resources and perform the elements of Hajj as elaborated in the Quran and Sunnah.
